AMATEUR RADIO GENERAL CLASS LICENSE UPGRADE TRAINING FREE training – pay only for materials and the test fee INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATIONS CONDUCTED BY THE OVERLOOK MOUNTAIN AMATEUR RADIO CLUB www.omarclub.org Seven21 Media Center, 721 Broadway, Kingston, NY Attend six classes (Oct 6, Oct 13, Oct 20, Oct 27, Nov 3, Nov 10) from 7 PM to 9:30 PM Take the exam on a day and time we will choose in class If you have a Technician Class license and you’re ready to get onto the worldwide HF bands, it’s time to upgrade to General Class! This class gives you everything you need to pass the written examination for a General Class amateur radio license. On the last day, you’ll take the exam – if you pass, you’ll leave with your new privileges! The General Class exam is similar to the Technician Class exam you already passed – 35 multiple-choice questions taken from a published pool of questions – but the information you need to know is much more technically complex. Even if you got your Tech license on your own, you should let us help you prepare this time. There is no charge for this course – just pay $25 for the study book and class materials, and the $15 examination fee. Pre-registration is required. The registration deadline is September 29. To register or to get more information, contact Keith Tilley, (845) 687-9951, K2UNI@arrl.net. There is a pre-class study assignment - register early so you have plenty of time to prepare!
